Resetting Your Password

Forget your LINQ EP password or want to change it? You can use your username or e-mail address to change it. You are required to respond to one of your personal questions, chosen at random by the program. After correctly answering the security question, you will receive an e-mail with a link to the Reset Your Password page. Use this page to enter a new password.

You cannot use your last three passwords when entering your new password.

This Reset Your Password link is active for a specific number of hours after the request is submitted (default is 48 hours).

After activating the Reset Your Password link or successfully logging in to LINQ EP after the Reset Your Password link is activated, you will receive the following message if you click the link again: "You have already activated the password reset activation link or you have successfully logged in after it was issued. Contact your LINQ EP system administrator for further assistance."

Follow these steps to change your password:

  1. On the Sign In to LINQ Employee Portal page, click the Forgot your password? link. The Reset Your Password page appears.

  2. Type either your user name or e-mail address, and then click the button. A random security question will display.

If Two Factor Authentication is activated, it is required to complete the Two Factor Authentication steps to reset your password. Click here for LINQ EP login instructions when Two Factor Authentication is implemented.

You cannot reset the default Administrator password. If the default administrator's user name or e-mail address is entered, the following message will display: "Unable to find a complete question and answer pair for this user. Please contact your LINQ EP system administrator."

Click the Go to the Login page link to close the Reset Your Password page and contact your LINQ EP system administrator for assistance.

  1. Type the correct response to the security question. Your answer is not case-sensitive.

  1. Click the button. Your answer to the security question is verified and, if correct, an e-mail containing a link to the Reset Your Password page is sent to your e-mail account. The message "You will receive an e-mail with a link to allow you to set a new password shortly." displays.

If your response was incorrect, the message "That is not the right answer. You have [9] attempt(s) remaining " displays, where [9] represents the number of attempts available before the account is locked.

If the number of incorrect responses exceeds the maximum number of attempts allowed to answer the question, the following message displays: "Sorry! You have reached the maximum number of attempts to answer the question. The account is now locked. Please contact your LINQ EP system administrator for further assistance."

Click the e-mail address displayed at the bottom of the page to contact your LINQ EP system administrator for further instructions.

  1. Launch your e-mail account and open the  LINQ EP e-mail. Click the link to open the Reset Your Password page.

  2. Type your new Password that is at least eight characters in length. Your password must include upper and lower case letters with at least one lower case letter, one or more numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.) and at least one of these special characters (!@#$%^&*?~ ). You cannot use the last three passwords as your new password.

  3. Retype your password in the Confirm Password field.

  4. Click the button.
