When Two Factor Authentication is implemented in Alio, the user must complete these steps to log in to LINQ EP:
Enter their LINQ EP User ID and password in the Sign In to Employee Portal page; and
Enter a system-generated identification code on the Two Factor Logon form. The user has the option to receive this code on their mobile phone or in their e-mail application. The mobile phone and/or e-mail address are extracted from the Employee Master Table in Alio.

When selecting the method of receiving the authentication code, select Home Phone only if the home phone is a mobile phone. The authentication code cannot be sent to a land line phone. If allowed by the district, the user can turn off Two Factor Authentication temporarily on a specific device. The system administrator sets the temporary time limit. When the time limit expires, the user must log in to LINQ EP using the Two Factor Authentication process. |
To log in to LINQ EP using Two Factor Authentication:
Launch your browser and open LINQ EP. The Sign In to Employee Portal page appears.
Type your Username and Password.
Click the 
button to enter the portal. The 2-Step
Verification page appears.
The mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses defined in the Alio Employee Master table display on this form.
Choose a method to verify that this is your account.
Choose Send as text message to receive the verification code as a text message on your mobile phone. In the field provided, click the Drop-down Arrow to select the provider of your mobile phone services. The provider selected will be the default provider the next time the 2-Step Verification page is accessed.
Choose Email the code to receive the verification code in an e-mail message. No further information is required.
A second page appears with a message that confirms the verification code was sent to the method selected.
When the verification code is received, open the application associated with the delivery method and retrieve the code. Type the code in the Enter the code field.
Optionally and only if displayed, click to select the Remember this device check box to disable Two Factor Authentication temporarily on the device being used to access LINQ EP. Two Factor Authentication is disabled for a specific time period set by the administrator. At the end of that time period, Two Factor Authentication is enabled automatically.
District policy will determine if this option is available. The check box will not display if the district requires Two Factor Authentication to be used every time users log in to LINQ EP.
Click the Verify button. The LINQ Employee Portal Home page appears.
